Our Story

We Didn't Find
The Right Space.
So We Built It.

Support workers. Personal trainers. One facility built from scratch.

The Beginning

We knew what was missing. So we built it.

Circle Square is Ballarat's only purpose-built fitness and movement facility designed entirely for people with disabilities. We're support workers and qualified personal trainers — and we built this place because we kept seeing the same problem.

Great people. Wrong environments. Mainstream gyms that were too loud, too crowded, and too overwhelming. Community programs that lacked the structure or sensory awareness people actually needed.

We stopped trying to make it work. And built something that actually does.

The Build

We ordered the equipment.
Laid the floors.
Built every room.

Circle Square didn't come from a commercial fitout brief. It came from personal trainers and support workers who'd spent years placing people with disability into spaces that were never built for them — and a decision to stop doing that.

We sourced every piece of equipment with a specific purpose. Cable machines positioned for wheelchair access. Bench heights chosen for varied mobility. A layout designed for structured, one-on-one coaching without crowding or chaos.

The sensory room was planned around acoustics and lighting before a single wall went up. The social space was built to feel genuinely welcoming. Every decision was made through a disability lens first.

Music and noise were deliberate. We keep the environment controlled — never silent, never overwhelming — and adjust it to the people in the room.

Our intention has always been bigger than the building. We're here to build genuine capacity and independence in health and fitness for a community that's been locked out of it for too long.
